I think you have to ship them.

You definitely can't smuggle them on the plane. I heard the offense is more serious than being caught smuggling pot.

In this case you can almost dictate how you want them. If you drove and have a few animals, you may want to drive them.

If you flew, maybe you just want them shipped to you.
This gives them a few days to rehydrate and you a few days to unwind from the trip and prepare for its arrival.

Sometimes, for me, since I have family and friends in Florida, and I usually purchase from many different vendors, I would collect all the animals at the show and hand them to a friend to hold and ship back to me, in one package, rather than paying for shipping several times

If you had one or two animals you were worried about, or didn't want to leave it to the vendor, i'd be glad to hold them for you and have them shiped to me with the rest of my animals, then to you, or straight to you.
