The other week I went camping in central Idaho and found a pond with a whole bunch of tadpoles. I caught 6, not knowing what they were, and to not have too big an impact on the environment. They are starting to grow up and are breathing air, and they look exactly like the frog here:

The thing is, the range isn't into central Idaho. And they don't look like spotted frogs at all! So what could they be?
