When is a Ball Python considered full grown? The moment before it dies. I have seen a few 8000g plus Ball Pythons, so I assume they continue growing throughout their lifetime. Perhaps a better question is: "When is a Ball Python considered an adult?"

That's a hard question to answer. I have heard a few people mention 1000g as a target weight. I have also heard a few people mention 3-5 years as a target age. Perhaps it is a combination of both weight and age.

Balls continue to grow their whole lives - but from my exerience - after about 5-7 years there isn't a lot of noticable growth - and it depends on the snake.

personally I would call the 1000 gram girl a sub adult - the 700 gram girl I would be more apt to call a juvie.

It is more a weight thing, 1500g for females and 600 - 800g for males is when they are considered sexually mature.

... personally I wouldn't breed a virgin female less than 1500 grams. Then the weight should increase based the lenght of the female for future breedings. Ron
