My female Glen Canyon chuck just laid 7 eggs. Do these incubate the same as collard lizards? What is the incubation period? Thanks for any info. First time with chucks!

Not sure about the eggs. Just curious what your chucks look like. You wouldn't happen to have pics of the parents, would you?
The substrate should not be really damp like ya would with bearded dragon eggs , iggies, even collared
I believe these are the proper ratio's of water/substrate measured out ( 100 grams of vermiculite and add 65 or 70 grams of water.) Try not to guess !
And you incubate at 85 to 90 degrees, I'm pretty sure
You can give tgreb a holler by clicking any of his older posts, I know he will know everything you to to know about incubation.
Hope they do well, let us know

I believe it can take 70 - 90 days!

I will get some pictures this weekend. Dry is a relative term so let me tell you how I did it and someone can correct me. I moistened the vermiculite and then squeezed all of the water out so that it would clump but not have water coming out. Hope that makes sense... The temp is ( - a degree or so) 88 degrees.
Here is what I have written down from a well know breeder
incubate in vermiculite with a .65:1 ratio of water to vermiculite by weight.
It will seem very dry, but take it from me, you don't want any more water than that. Make it easy and take a container add 100 grams of vermiculite and add 65 or 70 grams of water.

Thank you very much. I have setup another box with that precise mixture, brought it up to temp and transferred the eggs. We will know in 70-90 days I guess. The waiting is the difficult part when it is your first time!
hard even when itsNOT your first time, ehehheheh I have not mated my chucks and have not had chuck eggs, but I breed collareds ,and have agama eggs, and leaftail gecko eggs, and I never get used to the WAIT,
It's very "EGGCITING" watching them hatch, YOU will love it, just a wonderous thing (Always) I wish you all the best!
Keep us updated!
