An old pic I dug up that relates to the goini debate

bluerosy Jul 20, 2005 06:27 PM

I know its not a great pic but I took this years ago at a reptile show in Daytona. The breeder called it a "fruition" king because he bred brooksi that had the goini bred into it several generations ago. He then bred these 50/50 back to the brooksi creating 25%-75% and so on. Eventually he bred the brooksi looking adults (that looked like nice floridana) back to each other and got a few of these.

I made a mistake-

I Meant I took this pic at a reptile show in Tampa. Not Daytona.
I beleive it was the old Tampa show before the new promoter took over.

I have no clue. Probably one of thousands that does not read this quibble.

GOOD Point Rainer,
I think of that all the time. There are merely 30 or so people that post here. The kingsnake industry is much larger.
We that post here are just a speck in the population of all the kingsnake keepers, breeders, collectors, etc.....
There is a lot more happening in the kingsnake world out there than what is read on this forum.

Dont be so sure on how many people are on here. I get emails all the time from people who simply lurk or just read and never post. The way we can act sometimes (me included) I can see why there would be those who simply dont participate.

Hey....You got a great point Keith....i was going to get to that as well....LOL
Sometimes I wonder just how many lurkers there are that do not post or share information.......More information would be great, but then there would be people who disagree with the ways one certain person does things and swear on the herp bible that their way is correct because it works.....

I lurked the grayband forum for almost two years before I felt I could contribute. Now, seems like I can't shut up! LOL!
