Albino Western Diamond Back Rattlesnake

James Wilson Jul 15, 2003 11:57 PM

We have up a large female albino Western Diomond Back along with a Male that is Het for albino. How common are Albino Diamond-backs in the in the herp hobby? She is pretty neat. I am curious as to what they, or potential offspring, are valued at.

They're not terribly hard to find, but they're still worth anywhere from $400 to $500 dollars. I think hets can go for $150. I believe there are 2 strains of albino in this species, they look slightly different but are worth about the same. This is why you occasionally see double het for albino atroxes. I think they're really cool too, and I'm usually not really into albinos!
