My eastern just came about 6 feet after me trying to get a hold on my hand then my ribs and finally chased my feet for about three feet while I backed up laughing. It was the craziest thing I ever saw A EASTERN do.

It IS pretty funny. I also have a Goini and one Eastern that have followed me all across the living room in hopes of getting a mouse. A SUPER CRAZED feding response! This is the Goini & Eastern with the most voracious appetites I've ever seen for those species!

I'll have to confess the photo is a little misleading the snake is actually a dark brown with nice white bands and a little peach near the base of all the bands, BUT the nicest black and white I have, is the 5 foot male I caught here in my county in NC. He's super clean, and very High contrast! I'll post pics of him later. He's an awesome looking (dark) black and (bright)white example.

Funny thing is he was lungeing at me mouth open the whole time. Guess thats how he has kept up with Hillsons '03 monster. My pysco is an '03 and a little over four feet. He did this once as a 24" baby and I let him get me but now I am not so brave. I have only been feeding him every 10-14 days and with the heat he doesn't seem to think it enough.LOL I think I get what FR is saying. Listen to your snakes. When they try to eat you feed them more. When they attack you they might be hungry. I think I get it.

Thanks. I think that goini is awesome too (looks like a light phase OBK), she's an F-1 from wild caught parents from Krysko. I got her from Peter Jolles through a trade . . . Will be getting her a male in Daytona next month!

My Adult female Goini and my Male "green" brooksi jump out at me all the time trying to get the mousie... even if there's no mouse... they are both great/tame snakes... but when they're hungry they are HUNGRY!!!

Thanx... i hope to breed her to a patternless male next season... it should be fun to see what pops up from a blotched female and a patternless male...

My Eastern female has made me go flying on all fours trying to get away from her as she flies out of her cage and goes after anythign that moves. It usually happens when I feed her in the cage and she misses this mouse as I hold it by the tail. Then she will see me move and therefore I become the food. She came out and bite me in the middle of the thigh the other day, it was HILARIOUS!

Yeah its funny but some people don't think so. I was not feeding that is what made this weird. In fact I fed him 3 days ago and he just crapped in his water. Thats why I was in his cage. I guess he was ready to eat again. BTW Hows your eggs from that girl? What happened to them? I sold the male I was gonna give you and he ate the guys female when he brought him home. The guy didn't know they would eat each other. He seemed to be smart when I sold him to him but I guess not that smart. He said he left them alone to get used to each other the first day he got home.

Definitely a lesson that I have learned this week, when your snake acts like its hungry feed it, when I got my little guy (he’s around 16in) my original plan was to feed him ever 6 days which worked the first week, but due to his growing and the heat his appetite has gotten quite large, my new plan is to feed him every 3 to 4 days until this growth spurt and the weather relax a bit (I haven’t even needed the heat lamp) He’s such a mice well behaved snake when he’s satisfied but he gets extremely active and nippy I’ll call it when he’s hungry, tow totally different snakes, I just thought that I’d share.

mattcbiker, I bet that old girl of yours has a good amount of muscle on her huh? Seems like she's always exercising and working out on your bedposts!

My hypo floridana was EXTREMELY hungry 2 days ago when I fed her. I put her in a smaller, seperate container when I feed her and on the first mouse I had it dangling over the side, she came up striked at it, missed, striked again, missed, striked ME and nipped my thumb and that sort of surprised me so I accidentally dropped the mouse outside of the container and she came almost literally FLYING out of the cage in pursuit of the fuzzy. Then shortly after she broke it's neck. It was awesome.
