More of the Circus Ball

swreptile Jul 22, 2005 12:19 AM

This little is just cool to look at. I finished hatching today form this clutch. I have the one Circus and 5.5 siblings.

He was produced from a $50 rescue female ball, and a 100% het Sutherlands Clown male. I bred these two animals last year and produced what we called the BOZO ball. If you were at Tinley Park she was on display there. I will have the CIRCUS Ball at Daytona this year on display. The Bozo from last year just looked like what some folks are selling as a Velvet ball, very intense color.

thanks for looking

That is definitely one of the most unique mutations I've seen this year. (That's saying a lot considering how many morph combos we've all seen so far).

Beautiful animal...now comes the hard part...deciding what other morphs to cross it with. LOL...I'm sure you'll figure it out. Keep us updated...would love to see a post shed pic as well as a pic or two of the BOZO ball you hatched out.

Hey Jim, you got a pic of Mom? Just wondering if there was anything visibly there...... This is one of the most interesting new varieties that I've seen so far this year. Good Job....... I like it a lot.....

C'mon VOT! You know no one reveals their recipes except for Ralph. We're still waiting on the recipes for the Crystal Ball! LOL

I'm guessing Yellow Bellies! The Super Enhancer Gene!

Awesome animal either way... has that Super Spot Nose look!

For real everyone?
There is nothing to hide. Maybe clean Wisconsin air.
I am sure it is just a wild caught female. I saw this thinking hatching at 1 AM. I went back to my breeding room and looked high and low for any markers. I will post some pics of the Bozo next week. It is in shed at the moment. The luckiest thing for me is that, I have 6 full sisters from last year to breed the CIRCUS with. Four of them are 1250 to 1480 grams now.
I want to thank Greg Graziani for his call and advice. After talking to him we feel that a lot more will be known after I breed him back to his mother next year if all goes well.
I was just lucky this week. Maybe I will purchase a powerball ticket tomorrow.
thanks jim

Awesome looking snake Jim. Keep us updated as he grows. Can we see some pics of the Bozo Ball? Good luck with them. BTW, the Pastel male and the normal females I got from you last year are doing great. He should be ready to breed this year if I can find him a girlfriend. Thanks.

Next week I will post Bozo that is in shed and Circus after its first shed

thanks all Jim

Jim,

Have you bred that het clown to any other females or just the one that gave you the circus and bozo?

Thanks,
Tom

I have used him on a total of 9 different females in the last two years. I have got two odd animals all from the same $50 female that was from a rescue shelter.

First off congrats that is a very cool looking snake. It looks like it wasn't sure what is wanted to be which made me think. I wonder if it could be a het that is showing part of the clown trait? Something similar would be the brindle burms which are het albinos that show some albino in an erratic pattern. Another could be the paradox albino balls which hasn't yet been proven, although I'm hoping this is not the case The fact that you got something weird last year does put a dent in this idea though. Anyways just a thought, I hope whatever it is proves to be genetic because it is sweet.

that thing is too cool!!!! Love the white!

Would love to see pics of the parents. So the Bozo ball was produced from a het clown to a unique looking normal. And the Circus ball is from the Bozo back to mom? I missed the original post that was deleted so I'm sorry if this was explained.

First thought when I saw that head was reminds me of a JCP a bit.

Very cool looking to say the least.
