Head width

Jeff B Jul 22, 2005 12:53 AM

So I'm sure anyone who's even seen a picture of a crested will admit that they have big heads, but how wide are they on average?
I've got a piece of PVC I'd like to use as a hide which is about 1" wide. Tomorrow I plan to buy my first crested. Since it'll be a hatchling, I doubt there'll be any problems for a while, but down the line, should I get a bigger piece.

P.S.- Yes, I'll be sure and post pics of the new member of my "family" once he/she is settled.

1" should definatley work until the crested is 20-25 grams. after that i would consider taking it up to 1.5" just to be safe. be sure the edges are filed or atleast smooth because sometimes pvc can be sharp on the edge.
