Mizzy is fat, I think?

moko Jul 22, 2005 08:38 AM

My girl is getting pretty fat. She really calmed down when Mr. Koos came to take her for his bride. She has very very light orange on her collar, but no signs of orange elsewhere. she's fat right and not pregnant. In the spring she got very orange, spots and bands. She was so pretty-not that she isn't always. Koos continues to be unhappy with his situation and sports a roughed up nose most of the time.

I have several of my females who just get little splashes or a smidgin of orange on the neck when gravid. While others look as though you sprayed NEON orange paint all over them, LOL

Keep an eye on her behavoir, such as getting wide throught the middle, any lumpy looking spots on her sides. Lack of appetite and still staying hefty, DIGGING !

How long has she been fat and a twinge of orange? Count from that about 3 weeks and you would have an approx. time she may lay.

If you think it's a possibility maybe you should provide a dampened nest for her.

Her appetite has been really good. she was so bright in the spring. wouldn't she be as bright again? She looks a lot fatter now than in the spring. Are fertilized eggs bigger? well, of course they are because they are developing into little lizards. sorry, i think i answered my own question. okay i will put in a nesting area for her. better to be safe than sorry. thanks pheve
