Still hungry after feeding???

kkierstead Jul 22, 2005 12:15 PM

My three year old BP eats 1 medium rat every 1 1/2 - 2 weeks. I just fed her last night(it has been just over a week) and after she was done I put her back in her cage, and she was all over the place like she hadn't eaten yet. I really don't think she could handle a large rat(I could be wrong). But it does seem like she's getting hungry within a week now(sometimes less). She is just reaching 4 ft and I don't have a scale to weight her. Should I start feeding her a medium rat every week? Would that be considered power feeding? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks Kim

Instead of feeding her a large rat - try feeding more often like one a week or every 5 days if thats how often she gets hungry.
