Left Eye is Puffy

zerotact Jul 22, 2005 10:02 PM

HI,
My Cham has been eating just fine. But I recently noticed that his left eye is more puffy than the right one, and the pupil is sunken in. He isn't moving it arround, but he does open and close it when he's sleeping.. etc..
I recently pulled out the Shcefelera (sp?) plant that was dying. And installed a Med sized waterfall, with fogger, some moss to hold the humidity, and some smaller fake plants. I was hoping the waterfall would aid in hydration, and humidity. I have seen him drink out of the waterfall.

Is this a typical hydration problem? There isn't a discoloration, or sign of a wound, but the eye appears to be swolen. I try my very best to take good care of my pets, and always feel bad and unworthy when something happens.

Is it possible he got something in it? I know that sap from ficus trees can cause this problem, but it's only speculation. Is there a herp vet in your area?
