Sad day at the Morgans house -- don't look w/a weak stomach

Morgans Boas Jul 22, 2005 10:25 PM

Well I'll breifly review a breeding that I was extra hopeful for:

I bred a couple together that shared the same WC Striped father, and had different mothers. I was just testing to see if maybe I'd see some stripes (in a recessive form - 1 out of 4). Well yesterday (pos 101) she dropped 11 slugs and 2 premies who died in about 10 minutes after birth. I was really hoping to see some new baby stripes - knowing that there would have to be more breeding trials to determine genetics.
The only shimmer of hope was that the two dead babies were both with reverse stripes, which makes me hopeful for their next breeding. Win some, lose some. Take care, David
