Hello. I got these awhile back. They were sold to me as CBB. They both look awesome. Both are about the same size and they are kept in 12' x 7" x 7" acrylic cages with a few air vents in the top 1/3 of the cage on either side. Soil on bottom with moist moss over that. Large water bowl, 2 dowels across. One straight the other 5-10 degrees off straight. Temp on bottom is about 85 while up in their perch it is 83 or - a degree. These are kept constant all day and night on a thermostat. I spray daily.
Both have been treated with flagyl and panacur. Both were force fed a small rat pink with the medication in it when I first got them. Male is and has been very lethargic and slow moving, seems to be less alert to my or anything else's presence in the cage then female. Female ate a live hopper (3 days ago), assumes the "bun" postion and just seems perfect. She already shed and looks brilliant. Male will slide off of his perch and rest his head on the moss and stay that way. Then he will go back up to his perch in the "bun". This morning, he opened his mouth for a few minutes and just held it open. The mouth looked normal. He was opening his trachea to breathe regularly. He would close if I taped him only to open again later. I put a thawed hopper in and he was all over it pushing it and just touching his nose to it. He never ate. He then wentback to his lethargy. I just cannot decide if he is ill or just still not acclimated very well. Any ideas? There are no good reptile vets in my area so I put his fate in your hands. I would really like some good advice. Vinny
