another stupid question about gecko diet...

breen7 May 17, 2003 03:45 PM

Hello. I was wondering how much food and how often you let your gecko eat. Of course size has a lot to do with it, but wouldn't the "giving them as much as they can eat for 10 minutes" option work?... Also *what* exactly should I feed the little guy? What types of baby food, can I put chopped crickets into the food, things like that, what will keep him healthy and long lived? Another thing, would giving them the T-rex gecko diet be a good replacement for suplement? Since that gecko diet is the complete diet for a gecko, would feeding them that a couple of times a week (along with other treats) fufill their requirements?

If you are going to only feed the CGD 2 times a week, then you need to supplement the live food items. If go with the diet 4 times a week or more, you would not need to. But, in the later case, you would not need the crix either.
good luck

In my experience you should feed every other day. You should probably feed between 2-5 crickets or a small tub of baby food.
Good Luck!!!!
