I love creating interesting and unusual terrariums/vivariums/aquariums and I recently came up with this idea...tell me what you think and if anyone knows of a site with photos of this sort of thing, please let me know...
The tanks I am toying with at the moment are a 20 gal and a 10 gal (but I originally thought of doing this with a 55 and a 20, as they would fit together better-but I'll save them for when I better know what I'm doing).
In the lower tank (in this case a 20 gal), silicone a slanted piece of glass (or something similar) to one end, leaving a small opening for drainage at the lower end (closest to the tank end, creating a sort of two-sided triangle).
Knock out the bottom of the 10 gal tank and attach it to the 20, above this slanted piece of glass. A wire or glass cover will be put over the open end of the 10 gal and the space left of the 20 that is not covered by the 10 is left open.
Gravel, stones, aquatic plants and fish will occupy the lower half of the 20 gal, while gravel, substrate, mosses and tropical plants are planted into the triangle created by the slanted glass. Here, one might be able to add an aquatic toad or frog (with, of course, a way to get out of the water should he fall off the ledge into the lower tank).

Something similar to this (if it turns out right...)...any additional ideas or suggestions?
