So Eve, Do Chewalla and Grebster still live together?

ksterry Jul 23, 2005 02:51 PM

Aren't both chucks guys? Do they still coinhabit their cage now that they're both mature males or did they finally begin fussing with each other?

I bought 3 young "females" that turned out to be males. Though I'm very put out with vendors who sell me one thing and send me another, I still have these 3 males, who are growing up, sprouting their big femoral pores, and doing their pushups. They live with a longterm mature male who's VERY male around my other two longterm mature males, who each reside in their own cage. The 3 older guys can't be around each other even a minute without someone getting hurt, so they never come out to run at the same time. There are also 3 mature females in the cage with the 1 mature/3 immature males. It's just one big party.

I'm curious about your guys 'cuz it was the same situation ... a mature longterm fellah and a young guy who grew up with the mature fellah. Whatever happened with their relationship?

So far, everyone's cool in the 4-male, 3-female enclosure, but I'm wondering how long to hope the peace lasts.

They still love together come out and roam togther and even follow on another while out. Chewalla is almost 5 years old and Grebster 3

I will always keep them together ! They are jsut both very mellow and friendly PETS ! I even turned down a breedable female because I figured it may harm the bond these two have.

I will evenually get one but she will live with my Little disabled girl Hooty!

I'm glad to see ya and hear that your crew is doing so well ! Post some pics!

Heres one of Chewalla and Grebster about 2 months old

Eve, it's great to hear they're still together. Maybe there's hope for all my guys to continue their coexistence. The group is pretty funny when they're out running the floor. The little guys end up on the backs of the females, just hitching rides around the room. They've figured out where they're supposed to be; they just don't know yet what they're supposed to do when they get on!

I'll try to get some pics. Actually, it's easy to take them. It's just hard to post them 'cuz the camera has too many pixels to easily send pics over the net. And I'm no computer whiz!

I do believe my young Hugh is going to look just like Chewalla when he grows up! He'll sure be a handsome dude if this is the case!

i have two male also that i caught earlier this year in southern nevada, they have always got along fine, i built two big cages for both of them but when i took them apart they almost seemed like they were having seperation anxiety. i plan to seperate though in a month or two when i get some females, because i am thinking about breeding them. but for now they get along fine and never fight. they have several basking spots, but usually they prefer to use the same one.
