Hi, I've been looking into getting a snake for a few months now and I'm just looking into my options as far as good first snakes go. Anyway I looked at ball pythons, redtail boas,Duremil's(spelling) boas,Mexican boas, basiclly all the BCI boas, and I almost settled on buy a rainbow boa but the constant high humidity is putting me off a bit. I curently have a redfoot and russian tortoises and a bearded dragon. I recently developed an interest in Irian Jaya Carpet Pythons. I know that they are smaller then the normal jungle carpets and I was wondering if one would be a good beginner snake? Are they nippy? If I buy from a good breeder will it be tame before he sells it to me? Also any info you can give me(sites with care sheets,breeders,etc..)about them would be grealty appreciated. Thanks
