Chinese Stripe-tailed Rats (pics)

Terry Cox Jul 16, 2003 06:33 AM

I finally got my pics back of my het for calico, Chinese stripe-tails.

This is the female guarding her clutch of eggs...

The young male, het for calico...

Closeup, head shot of male...

The eggs...

I hope you could see why I thought the female showed egg guarding behavior.

I thought the color and pattern were interesting on this male. He was also very small for a breeding taeniura, and only 2.5 yrs. old when breeding.

I hope that at least one calico will hatch out. The remainder of the clutch will have to be considered normals.

'Til hatching....TC.

Very nice Terry! I hope you get a couple of calicos. I have seen some of Larry's and they are awesome. Later, Randy W.
