WC Brahminy Blind Snake

wombat Jul 23, 2005 08:27 PM

Here's a pic of a Brahminy (?sp?) Blind Snake I caught in SW Florida last week.

Naples is just north of the Everglades on the Gulf Coast- I was swimming in a swimming pool at night and reached out to grab what I thought was a plant stem- and it evaded me!

So I fished it out and looked closely and there it is- just about the last snake I ever thought I would add to my life list!!!!

Here's another picture, that's a very small baby Squirrel Tree Frog alongside... I released the snake in damp protected soil...

They are interesting little things that's for sure. I had a MONSTER one earlier in the year. About 5 and a half inches long!! Talk about huge lol.
