Slide Scanners...

Just wanted an opinion on if their worth the money. I plan to stick with slide film for a while and the only upgrade i may make in the next few months is purchasing an autofocus camera (a minolta maxxum). B/c the price of Digital SLR's is way out of my reach. If antone has opinions on them or the Minolta Maxxum (like what model i should get, there are a ton!) anyway thanks alot guys! Lastly how often do you guys use a long focus telephoto like a 300mm, just wanted to know if i should get one of those or a longer macro lense. Thanks!

Doug,

My 70 300 tamron is my "default" lens, its is a tele macro (1:2 ratio) and it literally only comes off for large herps (Bigger than 6ft snakes as well as larger animals and for the habitat shots (where is go wide angle)

Regards,
Scott
