Hey there guys. I was looking into purchasing a longer focal length macro lense for my minolta X-700. I now have a 50mm 1:2 with Extension Tube making it 1:1 but was looking to spend about $150 to buy one that was a 100mm 1:2 with Extension for 1:1, they have the same maximum aperature (3.5) so is there any reason to keep the first lense? I was thinking i might keep the extension tube to increase the magnification of the 100mm even more. The advantage to selling the 50mm is that it would bring in about $100 cause it is in Excellant condition. Any opinions? Thanks!
PS - I am also in the process of purchasing a light box for my slides, i dont have a loupe however, will looking through my spare 50mm standard lense backwards suffice or will i need more magnification? Thanks again!
