I did not see this snake myself - but was emailed this from a coworker of my husband's. I believe this was taken in West Texas. WHAT kind of snake would this be?

Dear "creeped out",
The snake is an African Rock Python (Python sebae), obviously electrocuted as it entangled itself on that fence. I believe I heard about this story going around the net. I have no details, but now I see the pic.The largest snake native to Texas is the Texas Indigo Snake (Drymarchon corais erebennus), which tops out at 102 inches, give or take. African Rock Pythons can grow upwards of 30 feet long! Hope this helps.
Cheers,
