What kind of copperhead is this?

Other than in the living room.
I got it from a friend who passed away last month. She lived in Fl.
I'm just going to take a guess, without locality data I'd say northern copperhead (agkistrodon contortrix mokasen)

.
Im voting for southern copperhead. Northerns tend to be a little darker.

Occupants not paying rent:
1.1.5 balls
2.1.8 corns(candy cane, creamsicle, ghost, 4 normal,
4 anery )
1 pueblan milk
1 everglades rat
1 cal. king
1 gray band king
1 w. hognose
1 bearded dragon
1 fish
1 mouse
3.3 cats
These things are hard to key without knowing locality of origin. Gloyd & Conant say that the dark bands on the spine are 2 scales wide or less at the midline for c. contortrix, and 3 or 4 scales wide for c. mokasen. If that is a solid key, then this one appears to be the northern. But I wouldn't bet on anything.

Its a southern.. northerns tend to be real dark with a real copperish head and southerns that nice light colored and light head..... And was it in Fl.? or where was it caught...?
im 100 percent it is a southern though..
It was bought at a show in Fl, i don't know from what breeder either. Thank's for all the replies.
osage copperhead or a tranx-pecos copperhead......just my guess
I'd say northern. I've seen plenty of northerns that were that light (and even lighter). Like Greg said, the bands look more like a northern.

Looks like a nice Osage. The white edging on the bands indicates that it is indeed an A.c. phaeogaster. Of course if it is captive bred, it could be a mix.
Pretty snake though.

i was bitten by a northern copperhead once in Ma, when i stuck my hand down a hole in my yard looking for some garter snakes i had been studing, the copperhead launched out and bite my hand, i passed out a few minutes later and then woke up about a few hours later really dizzy, i didnt need any medical attention i was very lucky. That may be one reason im so facinated by snakes now because of that insident.
