2005 Black Boas! (SUPER MOTLEYS)

Boarepublic Jul 24, 2005 05:56 PM

NEVER did I expect this litter to turn out the way it did! The female I bred this year was the sister to last years, and she was a bit bigger. I figured, if I'm LUCKY.....SUUUUUUPER LUCKY...I'll get TWO black boas! Heck, I really just wanted ONE to show again! I can't even say what it was like to find these guys poking thier heads up at me! I was also lucky to get a nice handful of Motleys in this litter too! Last year I only produced males, so I really was hoping for a couple females this year. Mission complete! there were a NICE handful of Motleys in this litter. I didn't get the best pics of them before they went into "anti-photograph-shed-mode", so I'll probably just wait till they're done to get pics of them.
Anyways, it's just been a really long time since I've posted in the forums, and this definitly was something I had to share!

Thanks for looking!!!

....some of the Colombian crossed ones? Just curious as I am wondering how black they will stay into adulthood. Either way they are killer looking and I am sure an all Black Boa is on everyone's want list!! I know I want one!
~ AWESOME!

Congrats! Alex - If you haven't already, I think you should come up with some original & simple name for your Black Boas.

AWESOME ALEX,

In fact that second pic, looks almost identical to the Purple Pats I have produced. It is sooo cool to see Both Motleys do the same thing. Major Congrats on 4!!!!! I think they are INCREDIBLE.............. Not only that, a DOMINANT MOTLEY!!!! Congrats!!!

To answer a couple of the questions I saw...

Not sure what a black one would go for at the moment. I have no plans on selling any just yet.

Yeup! Pure CA, just like last years litter!

Where's the Columbian Super? Not sure! I haven’t been so focused on that one as much as other projects. 2 years ago I chose to make Het albinos instead of trying for a super. This year, I did something else as well. If I remember correctly, I think Linda H. has a chance at hitting on them this year!!!

Thanks again!!
