I remember back in the day when the Longicaudas were few and far between. It took a good while for people to catch on to their beauty and now there seems to be more appreciation for them than ever before. Their contrast and beautiful black markings have always been stunning to me " like an argentine " and I hope breeders do not start trying to clean them up of their dark attributes through too much selective breedings. Maybe, breeders will start appreciating the dark boas with dark markings from other locals as well. Pinks and purples and reds and super clean boas are becoming a dime a dozen, the dark boas with ink black drip markings everywere are just as beautiful as any of the others. I go for different looking animals that are away from the norm. Here is an example of a Suriname, that looks nothing like a " typical " Suriname and obtains all her wild characteristics. Beautiful longicauda!.......Johnson Herp
I love dark boas that why i got in to longi. and some of my favort ones are speckled and dirt and dark... but sense so few people are working with them i would love to see what they could look like in a couple of generations if they where cleaned up but i would hate to see all the spekles and such lost only time will till. my adult female head shot.
