Multiple Males for Breeding?

vegasbilly Jul 24, 2005 11:13 PM

Hi All,

Last year my female Sorong was finally large enough to breed. I cycled them well but nada! I will be tweaking my methodologies this season but was wondering about something:

What would be the anticipated result if I placed a different male in the cage before introducing the Sorong? This other male would of course be removed prior to the Sorong's introduction - but his "scent" would linger for a bit.

Would this sidetrack the Sorong (looking for the "intruder" or could it possibly spike his interest?

Just some random thoughts from a herper going through the "dog days" when nothing is breeding! lol

Thanks,

Bill

you could also put the shed skin in the cage rather than the snake itself this way no harm no foul and the will think theres another one in there just my thoughts
