The only thing I know about Bluebird is that she was bred to a male named Grasshopper in a joint project between Buddy Goetzger and Tim Morris. I have a female from this clutch that also turned an incredible blue when gravid. She has lost some of this blue, but is still very pretty now.

Bluebird died shortly after her clutch with Grasshopper. Buddy had her picture on his site for a while, but then it was taken down as she did pass away. Grasshopper was a Greg Maxwell creation, and actually has some great genetics. The parents to Grasshopper are Joan Collins and Pygar. Both of which are Trooper Walsh creations. Joan Collins has blue genetics also. As you can see, the Grasshopper line is very strong genetically and when bred to Bluebird (a strikingly blue snake) it had some great potential to produce blue snakes. The picture below is of my Bluebird line male that I bred to a sorong type female. As you can see, at an early age it looked very promising, but has since turned a dark green with lots of blue undertones. I think the blue genetics are there, as with some of the other bluebird snakes out there. What most people dont seem to understand is, even though a snake is green, it can still produce high yellows, blues, etc if the snake has the genetics for it. The best example of that is seeing what Rob Worrell produces. He knows what his green snakes can produce, and constantly produces high yellows, and mite phased animals from parents that look fairly normal. Im sure thats more than you ever wanted to know about Bluebird, but figured I would share since you asked.
