Roach colonies

So you have just basically a plastic tub with egg crate in it. Is there anything else in it?

Hi Aaron,
The picture below shows our recommended set-up for the new roach keeper. You may elect not to use a substrate, and for the most part, we do too - but some folks like to use either red bran or aspen shavings.

We make a wooden frame to stand the egg flats in (holds them so they don't flop all over the place). There is room to put the dry diet dish and watering dish at one end. Depending on the size of your container - you can use this idea for almost any roach set-up.
