i just got an adult male colbolt. and i was looking to breed him. could i breed him to a "alanis" or "patrica" morph. i know dart frog hobyists dont like having new morphs or color phases, but all i want to know is if the diffrent frogs are compatible.
thanks for your time
chris

Yep, you could breed them if you wanted. The result would be a mut which the dart frog community looks down on highly. The fear (and rightfully so) is that your mut could be mistaken for a true cobalt and breed into the cobalt line and then a few generations down the line we learn that the whole line is contaminated. I would find another cobalt. They are a frog that is getting cheaper and cheaper everyday. With enough patience and persistence, you could get one for $30.
