Hatchling Broken Leg -- Splint & Cast? Please help.

Boru Jul 25, 2005 01:23 PM

Hello all,

I have a hatchling day gecko with a broken leg. It is bent in underneath him and being unused. His hobbled walk is putting him at serious disadvantage for catching insects.

Has anyone made an improvised cast that resulted in a usable limb? How did you do this? The injury occured last night. Is is too late to attempt to fix the limb?

This guy is very resilient. I believe he will make it.

Also, I have been giving him some pedialyte at another's recommendation. He is slurping it up... is this ok in othere's experiences?

Thank you for your help!
