Hi, I used to keep a pair of cresteds but sold them and all my other lizards when I started college. I live close enough to come home every weekend, so I was able to keep my snakes since they only eat weekly but I'm in the dorms where no pets are allowed. Hopefully I'll have an apartment soon where I can keep a few herps, but anyway I just recently heard of this commercial crested gecko diet and it seems like a very convenient resource. I've already got fruits and baby food and I still have no problem getting occasional crickets but I was wondering how often they need to eat the CGD?
I normally leave home on Sunday evenings and come back early on Friday, so that's 4 days I won't be here to feed one. If my parents would agree to put some fresh CGD in on Wednesday, would that be enough feeding? I saw on Anthony Caponetto's site that his geckos eat the mix for about 48 hours after he gives it to them, so I'm thinking this could work but I wanted to get some opinions before I seriously look into getting another crested. Thanks.
