garters giving birth

just wanted to share, I usually keep about 10 gravid garters a year to see what the babies look like, I release most of them well today one of them dropped 23 babies and 1 slug. this is the earliest I have had a garter give birth in NY. I beleive it is due to the unusually hot summer we have been having here.
