Hi,
I'm brand spanking new to this wonderful breed. I've had Tort's as a kid growing up in the UK, but now as an adult in the US it's a new ball game!
We live in Northern NJ and I've been trying to find the best 'hardy' Tortoise that will do well in NJ. I'm leaning towards the Russia species...they seem hardy. I don't want anything too large (Scalata).
Can anyone give me some recommendations. Also I've contacted lots of rescue groups but haven't heard back yet. I'm tempted to purchase from a breeder but not sure.....
