Question on Waterfall and Fogger

bps516 Jul 26, 2005 10:02 AM

OK, oh great and powerful gods of all that is enclosed with herps, I have a quick question:

I have an Exo-Terra medium waterfall and fitted fogger that I am using in my mountain horned dragon enclosure (mesh reptarium soon to be covered with a plastic cover to reduce loss of humidity). The fogger is heating the waterfall water way to hot. Is there any known way, outside of cycling the fogger on and off, that can reduce the temperature of the water?

I had the same set up once
the only thing that you can do is to buy a timmer there only about $10-$15 I have a digital one for my misting system that has up to 14 progamable on/off I also have a timer for my lights that was about $5 this one is not digital it has one on/off switch it looks like a round clock and you insert plastic pegs to toggle the on/off switch and you can also buy extra pegs to put numerous on/off per day you can buy these at home depot lowes wallmart or even your local hardware store

make sure you use distilled water with your fogger because the membrane is very delicate. I've never seen a fogger last more than a month I sware that I had bought about 10 foggers in my day they look great but are very dellicate I even bought the python foggers they are about $60 compared to the exo terra that is about $30 and they both really suck All I do is buy a new one and return the old one they also sell replacement discs online for about $4 well good luck
