Eye infection

DeanBright Jul 26, 2005 11:46 AM

Hello,
When I got my collared pair the female wouldn't open one of her eyes, and wasn't very active. I thought she might have something in it, so I took a Q-tip and got it realy wet(with warm water) and with out aplying preasure wiped it across her closed eye lid severle times every couple days. Now she has her eye open and is more active. I am not positive it was an eye infection thogh.

Good luck,
Morgan

Dean I am so glad to hear that, most of what I have been running into is not as good an end. This is again what I did with mine, and also applied some neosporin type ointment as well. But in my case it didn't seem to help. I hope others will chime in with their experience as well if they have had one. Cheers!!!! Thanks for sharing!

I'm taking my collared to a vet tomorrow to check out his eye.
At first I thought it was sand, but after cleaning it away with a Q-Tip it is more brownish, like dirt or growth or something, so I am suspecting infection. AHhh!
