misting hatchlings

MatNga Jul 16, 2003 10:08 AM

My four week old hatchlings wont drink from their water dish reliably (a Snapple cap) I think they forget where it is, any way is it ok to mist hatchlings 2 or 3 times a day to keep them well hydrated I know adults once a day with a bath is good not sure about the young ones

I mist my adults weekly. Hatchlings once a day usually but they eat alot of veggies and they are nice and wet veggies as I add calcium liquid in with them in the food proccesor. I also soak whole clutches at a time. To begin I put them in the water, they don't drink right away. But you mist them they lower their heads. And viola their head is in the water now and they drink it. After several days they get the trick.
