schneider skink questions

randi May 17, 2003 04:19 PM

What kinds of fruit and vegetables do they like best? I've been trying different things but I don't know if Seamus is eating much.

What is the best substrate to use? I've heard the whole thing about impactation with sand etc.

Can they be put in with other skinks like the fire or gold?

Thanks,
Randi

99% of the time, Schneiders will only take live food.

Sand is the best substrate to use for Schneiders. It's their natural environment and the rarely take in much.

no, Schneiders must be kept with other Schneiders only. Introducing other species may result in serious injury or death as they fight for terratory.
