Albino House Gecko

modifiedloser Jul 26, 2005 04:27 PM

Last summer there was an albino gecko living in the seam of my front doors wood molding. I'm 100% positive it was albino gecko. I saw it several times but could never capture it. I THINK it was a house gecko. Just a common house gecko.

I live in north Texas area. Are house geckos around this area? I also found a regular colored gecko in my house the other day. I let him go out side.

The main reason I'm asking this is because it came to my attention that no body else has heard of an albino one. So I'm just wondering if I let something awesome get away. Lol.

Thanx.

If it was really an albino house gecko, i think you let something go lol. Also.........they can turn very pale...so maybe that is what you saw. Remember..albinos can have NO black pigment...so if it was white and black.it was not albino...just a pale house gecko.

I'm not new to the reptile game. Just the house gecko gang. Anything albino is my favorite. I'm 100% positive it was an albino gecko. I got a few very good looks at him, but only for a few seconds. I wish I had caught him.

Everytime I tried, he slipped into a crack.
