I am thinking of building my closet into a snake cage (Ball Python)

iethc Jul 26, 2005 05:43 PM

How can I waterproof the walls and floors in a way that it will not damage them? Is there anything cheap and easy? I am thinking of sealing it all with plastic (clear)

How big is this closet?? I've heard of balls not doing well in larger than neccesary enclosures. But lowes and or Home Depot should have some all weather exterior latex paint you could use, it'll hold up to the humidity. But remember, balls are from an arid place, and only need at a max during shedding like maybe 75-80% ( I keep mine at 60% ) So you'll need some form of air circulation going on, umm, and you could get a slidable tray system on the bottom, for one, easy clean up and two easy access to a possible UTH.
