Does the CB70 have feet?

CJBianco Jul 26, 2005 09:39 PM

Or are there any popular CB70-sized plastic tubs that do have feet? I need something that slides safely over heat tape without touching it.

And I really don't want to countersink the heat tape...

Thanks In Advance,
Chris

No, but it has an approx. 3/16" rib all around the perimeter. You could probably remove some of this material and "create" feet.

Thanks, Casey. I'll remember that one.

Although I seem to recall someone mentioning a CB70-sized tub with little rounded feet. Gosh! I wish I had a better memory...

According to Clay Davenport's website, the CB110 has the four small round feet. Too bad the CB70 doesn't have these.

Maybe I'll go with the larger boxes...

Thanks!

One nice thing about Iris boxes is the sturdy rim that runs around the perimeter. This allows you to build a rack where the box runs on a cleat or track, therby creating whatever air space you desire.

You can still build a normal rack, just include some sort of wooden, aluminum or plastic runner for the boxes. This actually allows one to build the racks lighter since the shelves don't support the weight of the boxes.

The CB110 have 6 legs, 3 running down each side. Each is about the size and thickness of 2 stacked quarters
