Desert phase, or regular?

Grass looks like non-desert area, but his bands are so crisp & white. Very crisp colors if it's a conventional Cal King.

I think it very ironic that I lived in CA for 10 years, explored the outdoors often, and never saw a Kingsnake.

It is a desert phase from San diego. If you look in the right areas at the right times they are pretty easy to find. I am suprised though that you did not find one in ten years.

Did you wind up keeping it? What kind of attitude does it have? (if you kept it of course)Nice looking snake.

Pity, I saw 2 in the same day in the Malibu foothills.
