They really arent very bright ha. Thats perfectly normal, he/she is just trying to get out. I think maybe the impact from the fall amkes them forget that climbing the side results in a >THUD< jk...

Any ways, just make sure its not falling on any rocks or anything, and you'll be ok. Its just something they do...

I couldn't agree more with this comment! I think they are retarded and that is why I love mine. I have been watching him and throughly enjoying him much more than my Rat Snake who I will say has a little more intelligence than the BP I think. A year ago you would have never seen me type these words but...BPs are just so lovable! Definately my favorite pet of all time.

Snakes, in general, are pretty resilliant. Did I spell that right? Anyhow, they can fall quite a distance and no harm will come of it. Remember, they are muscle from their neck to the tips of their tails. Sliding down from the top of something like a 50 gallon tank, or even 2 or 3 feet from the ground. will hardly slow them down. Just don't drop him from a two story window. . And, in truth, unless you dropped him on solid rock I don't think that would slow him down too much. I've seen things like blue racers fall six or eight feet from a branch in a tree and hit the ground runnin'.
