Shedding

hi everyone. i have a quick question. my snake is shedding...and he started on his head and there is a patch now about the size of a dime where the scales are shiny like the rest. it doesnt look like he shed the scales off because i can see the scales still there they just sort of lost their shinyness. is this normal or what is wrong? anything i can do without taking him to a vet?

Just soak her in water for 20 minutes or so.the rest of the shed should come off.

Unfortunately the weather is wreaking havoc on some of my snakes sheds too - it's not a big deal usually a little extra humidity and they will slough off by themselves - especailly if it's just a small area - if hes not too headshy get a warm wet washcloth and rub his head a bit.

Here's one of mine that just shed out - notice he's still got some scales left on his head - they'll most likely be gone in a day or so.

i think i worded that the wrong way. his head is already shed. from the tip of his nose to his neck. but on his head it seems liek he shed off his scales completely. like they have lost their shinyness. i will try to get a picture as soon as i can but unfortunately that will not be until next week or so. the scales aren't completely missing on his head, its just like they are not shiny anymore.
