How do i use a heat pad on a ten gallon aquarium thats sitting on a dresser??

turtlequest Jul 27, 2005 05:10 PM

Will the heat pad burn the dresser? Anyone know how many inches the tank should be off the surface, and how i may raise the tank a couple inches?

Any help would be appreciated.

There is a heat strip availble that stcks to the bottom of the tank. I have used them extensively and there is no need to raise the aquarium.

You can use small tile squares (4, 1 for each corner of the tank) and set the tank on those. Or wood strips (but not right under the heater.)
