I hatched out a few pythons about 2 weeks ago, one of them still has a very small piece (maybe 1/8"
of umbilical cord sticking out. It has not gotten any smaller in a week? Any ideas? I have tried gently pushing on it.

Tie it off with some dental floss. That will cut off the blood supply and it'll fall off. I usually do that after a couple days out of the egg if it's not totally gone.

remember at times the cord has fallen off and the little piece sticking out is actually supose to be on the inside.
I had only one of them this year..I just pushed the little piece back in and it actually just stayed there.usually it doesn't stay in....this one healed in a day..oh.shoved it in and put it in a damp deli-cup so there was no drag / fiction on it to pull it out...the belly will jst slide in the cup.
I was going to glue the opening shut if necessary.but it stayed in
do not cut it if you do not know what cord it is......!
......
it may be part of intestines.........
