Monitor Changed Color?

SPJ01 Jul 27, 2005 09:25 PM

I took in a sav from a kid that didn't want it anymore.
When I got him, he was dark brown and really drab looking.
Over the past week, he has gotten a lot lighter in color and now I can see the spots on his back much better and there are shades of yellow and grey on him. He doesn't look like the same monitor I took home.
Any idea what caused the sudden color change?

Stress can cause a sav to be darker. Cold temps also lead a sav to be darker. Sick savs are usually dark too. Dark is often not a good thing.

These, by no means, are absolutes and there are some naturally dark ones and naturally light ones. However, based on what you wrote, these are probably the most likely explanations.
