securing heavy pieces of wood background

thefiradragon Jul 28, 2005 12:31 AM

well decided to do a neat looking viv with a background, as the whole no background ddnt appeal to me at all.

so here are some questions

i have some fairly bulky heavy pieces of mayalsian driftwood. i know with time and enough silicon you can get the buggers to stick to the glass but is there another more efficent way of holding the wood on? i am going to use becketts pond foam (or a product thats like it) to fill in the gaps. but will it be sturdy enough for the drift wood?

thanx

"I’m scared of those nasty big-eyed grey aliens, too. I think it’s that I don’t understand their motivations. I am confident of my ability to out-think, out-con, or if need be, tire-iron-upside-the-head demonic forces, ghosts and goblins, things that go bump in the night, etc. It’s the notion of something that doesn’t have any desire to talk to me except via anal probe that freaks me out"

I have used great stuff. If it is heavy I lay the enclosure on its back until it dries.Keep an eye on it make shure it stays secure.
