You could get a yellow ackie for $125-$200. There are the reds too but they're $300 . They are very active and unlikely to bite. Just out of curiosity, why don't you have your savannah anymore?

I've had success with ornate niles, mangrove monitors, iguanas, and red tegus. I have heard good things and handled and been tempted to buy both dumeril's monitors and black throats. I have not had good success with savs, common niles, and columbian tegus.

as an after thought i considred buying ackies and arguses; but, after handling and fooling around with both of them, i decided against them. i would also mention that i've also been tempted to purchase a black and white argentine after fooling around with a few of these. the black and white argentine tegus seemed really cool to me.
