If the 2 legged dog thrives in captivity, well then, yeah. Great is'nt. I love mutants.

If not, I think he will have to be more careful killing his food than mine are. I have no idea how tough the scales are on balls, but they must be pretty tough. I have seen what looks like a rat trying to bite one of my balls while it constricts them. Afterward I check and don't see a hole or blood.

I feed live too. I keep a pair of 15" forceps nearby, to distract, or remove, a rat's mouth from my snakes. Maybe your rats are smaller, but I've had some large rats put a hurtin' on my adult bp's before, to the point where the snake didn't want to eat for two or three weeks afterward. Nothing like those awful pics we've seen where someone left a large prey item in with a not hungry snake overnight...just two nice-sized holes and a healthy bit o'blood.

Since I got the forceps, have never had a problem. If your guys are getting bitten now, thank God it's not solid or from a big rat. It's only a matter of time, though, before one gets your adults pretty good.

Personally, I'd rather have a rat biting my forceps, than my unproven morphs!
